Layout voor Scrapaholics

Hallo Vandaag heb ik deze layout om te laten zien. 

Ik heb deze gemaakt voor het DT van Scrapaholic .

o

Voor deze Layout heb ik de nieuwe papier collecties gebruikt. Het vel  Passions Garden -Nature's delight als basis en de achterkant van  Countryside -Back Roades and Passion Garden- Quiet moments als achtergrond.  Ik heb wat bleomenuit de  Countryside-Hello Spring vel geknipt en achter de foto geplakt.. De  chippies  die ik gebruikt heb zijn Botanicals set 3 en botanicals set 5. deze heb ik gekleurd met acryl verf en er een laagje Distress embossing glaze peeled paint van Ranger op gedaan.

verde heb ik het  Vintage Lace Frame  gebruikt, die heb ik door de helft gesneden en gekleurd met soft lilac embossingpowder van NUVO. de ene helft van het frame heb ik boven achter de foto gestopt en de ander aan de onder kant.
 

 

 De roosjes zijn ook van Scrapaholics en wel de  Mini Roses Violet Fields en Mini Roses bleu Skies.

Ik hoop dat ik jullie heb kunnen inspireren met deze layout.

Creativity is the key to succes.

 I have the honour to represent Maja Design as Guest designer for the More than words challenges. Maja design is one of their prize sponsors. This is the layout I made . The challenge is use the word succes and use a key on your layout. The word SUCCESS inspired me to use a picture of an artist carrying her brushes. The word 'create' in the lightbulb, the KEY and then the word 'success' are displayed together to make up the quote in the challenge board 'Creativity is the key to success'. I added some of my own brushes and pencil to embellish the layout as these are tools which I always use when crafting, so in a way they help me accomplish my work successfully.

Hello , today I have something differend for you.
I have been playing with the patina pastes from Finnabair and made this frame with it.
I love how it turned out and it will get a special place in my crafboudoir.

Deze mixed media canvas heb ik al een tijdje terug gemaakt  tijdens een creative retreat . Het was een workshop van Laly Mille

Wishes really do come true

Hier ben ik weer met een Lay out.
Ik heb nog meer gemaakt dan deze Layout  en dat komt er ook nog aan.
  Voor deze Layout  ben ik lekker los gegaan met glitter , sprays en stickles. Ik wilde de glitter die op de foto wordt weggeblazen buiten de foto doorlaten lopen zo ook de dynamiek van de foto..
Deze Layout doet mee aan twee challenges
De is de moodboard challenge van Cuts2Love

Ik heb de kleuren gebruikt en sterren als embellishment en thema wonderful :wishes do come true. Ik heb twee badges gebruikt  een met een vlinder en een met aquarel.  Voor meer gave badges lasercuts en textstickers:  cuts2love  etsyshop. echt een bezoekje waard.

De tweede challenge waar ik deze Lay out voor instuur is de augustus kleurenchallenge van Lindy's stampgang 

Hier van heb ik sprays gebruikt in de kleuren Orange creamsicle , Tilt-a-wheel teal en Urban amathyst alle drie flat fabio's dus heb er nog wat silent night silver voor de shimmer er bij gedaan. Deze is niet zo grijs als het plaatje doet vermoeden trouwens maar heeel licht tegen het wit aan lila naar mijn idee. perfect voor erbij dus.

Ik ben weer lekker bezig geweest met mijn gelato's en mijn Blazing poppies stempel van Indigo Bleu. 

Ik heb eerst stroken tekst en bladmuziek opgeplakt daarover heen een dunne laag gesso . Ik doe dit zodat de spray (die ik gemaakt heb door wat gelato in een spuitflesje met wat water op te lossen)   niet te snel opdroogt en in het papier trekt en je het beter kunt laten vloeien. Ook kun je zo wat niet naar je zin is beter wegwerken met een nat billenlotion doekje. De bloem heb ik ook ingekleurd met gelato's.. gewoon met een vochtig kwastje zo van de gelato af . Als laatste heb ik nog wat spatten gemaakt met het slangetje dat aan het spraydopje zit. Ik ben er weer happy  mee.

Happiness , believe, dream Mixed media canvas.

This weekend I was banned to my craftroom ( oooh the Horror!!  hahaha NOT!) because my daughter had her birthday party ans at a certainage they don't want you around anymore. 

So I thought lets make a mixed media canvas.. I've seen so many pretty ones passing by and thought< I want to try that too !!  But where to start?? had a clean canvas and had no idea what to do.. . This weeknd I got my kits from scrapdelight and started to play with soem of the items that I found in them added some stuff of my own , and game with  this result .

I must say I had a lot of fun  love how it turned out! Got to do this more often.

Making my own stencils aka masks

 

As you might have noticed I found my way into the artjournalling and mixed media. One of the  things you use for this is a mask or stencil . There are a lot of differend ones from a lot of differend brands. Hard to choose from and if you want t build a nice collection of them it will cost you a lot of money. I thought this can be done cheaper and I am the very lucky owner of a silhouette cameo , so why not cut my own masks right? So I tried cutting them from pagediveders but didn't really like the results , it was not sturdy enough. So now used laminate pouches wich I had run through the laminating machiene..the laminator..and the stencils turn out awsome! the picture shows just a few of the ones I cut out this afternoon..they are nice and sturdy and just as thick as the stencils that you buy in the shop. whoo hoo the laminatepouches I use are very cheap only a few euro's at the Action ( kind of dollarstore ) and the cameo settings I use are knife 9, speed 1 and thickness / pressure33. I won't be able to use this knife for cutting paper again but who cares! I got some great stencils now..

I just loooooovveee my gelato's this one is made with the inspiration of week 4 of the gelato workshop from Scrapdelight .. the flinginggirl is made with a stamp from Suzi Blu I soo love her art  been admiring her for years now ..hopefully I will be as good as she is one time

Your life is all what you do with the things that happen to you .. you can keep moaning and groaning about the bad things that happend to you , or take it as it is , learn your lesson from it and go on with your life. Keep looking forwarth and leave the past in the past.

Why fit in ?

Something totally else compared to my blogposts of yesterday. 

Mixed media/Artjournalling. I love messing around with all those medium and get dirty fingers. Its justgo on and do what youlike . There is no wrong and no right ..

I made this one with week 2 of the workshop 6 weeks of gelato from Scrapdelight ..love doing  doing this workshop so far .. ik gives me tons of inspiration and more important it actually puts me to work..

Trying out my new GelliPlate

So last week a I won a round Gelliplate and today I got the chance to try it out.. I must say I love it! This time I tried the resist technique with  it and it turned out to this.. Can't wait to go play with it again trying another technique . Think I might make a round artjournal or something using it...

Time flies

A teenyweeny canvas.. with a caputered little time heart. The little cavas is not taller than a distress inktpad and I made the heart with paperclayand  decorated it with watch parts. I rusted some iron wire with a mixture of  bakingsoda , vinager and potatoes. Took the canvas of the canvas and replaced it for  a little piece of clearsheeton the back.

Home is where the heart is

 

I love crafting and love to try all kinds of differend techniques , so now I got my mind set on mixed media and artjournalling..

I'm member of a facebook mixedmedia group and decided to enter their MMchallenge..

The challenge is use Fabric.. I glued a piece of burlap on a canvasboard and painted it with acrylicpaint. 

The heart is made of felt and the riboon for hanging is made of a piece of old bedsheet that I dye with tea. I used embossing paste (colored with acrylicpaint) with stencils from Prima marketing and Ronda Palazzari Designs..tissuepaper from Tim holtz and left over chipboard letters. The houses are cut out of chipboard with  the artful dwellings die from Tim Holtz,

I really love how it turned out and it gets a nice place in my home.

First mixedmedia attempt

So I wanted to try something new.. mixed media.. so behold my first attempt to make a mixed media girl. I've been playing with gelato's , gesso , aquarelpencils ,acrylicpaint, stamps, tissuepaper was lots of fun ! And if I may say so ...I'm pretty happy with my first mixedmedia girl.

Ben even lekker aan het frommelen geweest en de ze wallhanger gemaakt. Het was eigenlijk de bedoeling om een hoesje te maken voor mijn E-Book zodat hij niet beschadigd als ik hem in mijn tas stop maar vond het een beetje zonde om dit in mijn tasje te proppen dus ben ik even naar de action geraced en heb van die canvas bordjes gehaald en ben daar op verder gegaan en werdt dit het resultaat. De foto heb ik op canvas uit geprint. wel speciaal canvas om op te printen..volgens mij bij inl club gekocht. Bij de xenos verkopen ze ook canvas vellen maar die zijn geprepareeerd. Ik raad echt af om die door je printer te gooien want je vernaggeld echt je printer of printerkoppen ( spreek uit ervaring !)
Maar goed ik vond dit eigenlijk wel heel leuk om te doen , zullen er nog wel meer volgen denk ik .Deze vind ik zelf wel geslaagd voor een eerste poging.. nu maar weer een poging doen om een zakje voor mijn E-Book te maken, of toch nog wat anders, jullie zien het wel. nu eerst even een kaart afmaken en dan eens bekijken wat het wordt.
